This one turned out okay. I don’t know where to start when it comes to 60’s dance pop. I did start with an unusually fast bpm/tempo which I normally don’t record. That was helpful. I added basic guitar and tried to keep it simple and bouncy. Unlike Prince and MJ who grew up in the 60’s, my closest influence would be the 80’s artists I listened to who were emulating their favorite 60’s artists, etc. Knick named the Land of 1,000 Dances, I’d also suggest the 60’s was the most eclectic and versatile decade for popular music. Unless Boom Jungle Wood explored playing a lot of covers, I have a feeling the only thing I could bring to the table may sound something like Joshua demo. But I’ll be back and give it another shot real soon.
